Bushfire |
| |
| State and
local government
policy
stipulates land
owner and
development
obligations for
identifying and
managing bushfire risk. A
bushfire risk
assessment is
undertaken to
determine the
level of
bushfire risk
relevant to a
property, group
of properties or
even at a shire
wide basis by analysing risk
factors such as
vegetation type,
aspect, topology
and fire regime.
Once the
bushfire risk
associated with
a particular
development area
has been
quantified then
an appropriate
Bushfire
Management Plan
can be
constructed to
mitigate the
perceived risk
through detailed
development
design
mitigation
measures. |
