Joshua is the Co-owner and founding Principal of North Coast Environmental Services. Having spent most of his youth between northern NSW and the Sunshine Coast, Josh is very familiar with the regions aquatic and terrestrial natural assets and is passionate about sustaining their integrity for generations to come.

A practicing environmental scientist since 2000, Joshua quickly identified an opportunity in the SEQ consulting market and founded NCES in 2006.

Provision of high level due diligence advice and technically precise environmental investigations and reporting, with a strong focus on ecology and bushfire, has become Joshua’s niche service over the past 17 years. Working consistently in South-east Queensland over this period Joshua has established solid and respectable working relationships with regulatory agencies, developers and the consulting sector.

Joshua is currently registered as a pre-qualified supplier for the Sunshine Coast Regional Council Regional Strategy and Planning Services – Category B Environment, is a member of numerous environmental associations and regularly attends leading industry conferences to stay at the forefront of environmental management knowledge.

Nick Willis is the Senior Ecologist at North Coast Environmental Services with 20 years’ experience conducting ecological assessments and undertaking restoration/rehabilitation planning for a range of clients and projects throughout Queensland. Nick is a highly skilled field ecologist with extensive experience conducting flora and fauna surveys within the diverse vegetation communities of the South East Queensland bioregion. He is experienced in survey design and conducting habitat assessments, assessing vegetation management issues, undertaking vegetation condition mapping and reporting and interpretation of legislative requirements for small and large projects.

Nick is a fully accredited Member of the Australian Association of Bush Regenerators (AABR), an accreditation only achieved via rigorous professional assessment and which represents a high-level benchmark for restoration ecology professionals.

Working consistently throughout South-east Queensland and Brigalow Belt regions, Nick has established solid and respectable working relationships with local governments as well as State environmental regulators.
